The inaugural “China-U.S. Investment Executive Training Program” was recently co-hosted by the EB-5 Supermarket in Naperville, Illinois (a western suburb of Chicago). More than 30 Chinese agent executives attended this specialized training program from July 27 to July 31, 2015. Illinois State Senator Mattie Hunter (the Majority Caucus Whip) attended the opening ceremony and spoke as the keynote speaker on the topic of Investment Immigration.

Attendees updated their knowledge on the EB-5 program during this five-day training program. Some of the program topics included legislation, legal document preparation, security law practice, job calculation, business plans, project management, direct investment, real estate investment and legal support, etc.

Attendees also spent time networking with the speakers, who serve as immigration attorneys, security attorneys, realtors, developers and bankers.
Doyce Boesch, Former Chairman of the Republican National Senate Affairs Committee in Washington, D.C., presented Sailing in the American Political System – the Legislative Ecology, a speech which introduced an overview of politics in the United States.

Illinois State Senator William Delgado, Chairperson of the Education Committee, joined us for the luncheon on the final class day. William shared his personal experience and his strong belief that the foreign direct investment (FDI) shall have a positive impact on Illinois, particularly on the Chicago region.

The Chief Investment Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Illinois, Rodrigo Garcia, spoke during the closing ceremony. He addressed the unique advantages of investing in Illinois and promised strong assistance for Chinese EB-5 investors in the future.
